MPP Glover: Shuttered ER leaves community a victim of PC privatization agenda

MINDEN, ON – MPP Chris Glover (Spadina-Fort York) joined the Ontario Health Coalition and dozens of community members from the Reopen the Minden ER campaign as part of the Trojan Horse tour, demanding an end to the privatization of Ontario’s public hospitals.

“The closure of the Minden ER has deprived this community of local access to life-saving health care services,” says MPP Chris Glover, who has friends in the area who have been impacted by the closure. “The people of Minden deserve care they can access 24/7 – instead, they’re facing winter storms to drive to Haliburton for basic services.”

“Closing our local hospitals is creating a crisis to open up our healthcare services to private, for-profit corporations–just like they did with homecare, nursing agencies, and long term care."
